Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Claims
Artificial intelligence (AI) is changing the way insurance organizations evaluate, manage, and oversee claims. From claim intake and triage to litigation management, reserve oversight, management reporting and claim audits, AI can help improve efficiency, consistency, claim quality, and operational insight.
At Claims Consulting Partners (CCP), we help clients evaluate and implement AI responsibly within the claim operation. Our approach combines experienced claims professionals, AI-assisted review techniques, data analytics, and practical operational knowledge to help clients improve claim outcomes, identify trends, strengthen oversight, and enhance overall claims performance.
CCP has aligned with AI expert partners to assist clients with the thoughtful and responsible implementation of AI in claims. Together, we help organizations identify process and workflow inefficiencies, claim trends, leakage indicators, litigation management issues, reserve management concerns, documentation gaps, and opportunities to improve overall operational effectiveness.
AI Claim Services
CCP utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) in two primary areas
Our approach combines AI-assisted analysis with experienced claims professional judgment to deliver practical insights and actionable recommendations.
By combining AI-enabled review techniques with deep claims expertise, CCP helps clients identify not only what happened in a claim file, but why it happened, whether it reflects a broader operational issue, and what management can do to improve future outcomes.
Taking the Mystery Out of AI
AI does not have to be complicated or intimidating. In claims, two common forms of AI are Extractive AI and Generative AI.
Extractive AI helps identify, pull, organize, and structure information from existing claim materials, including claim files, notes, reports, correspondence, pleadings, medical records, legal bills, payment data, reserve activity, and other claim documentation.
Generative AI helps summarize, compare, draft, synthesize, and explain claim file information. It can assist in creating summaries, identifying themes, comparing information across documents, and developing written analysis from source materials.
